Break Down Words,
Break Through Barriers!

Equip students with the skills to confidently read, spell, and understand words. WIKI Build empowers learners to decode new words, making literacy more accessible and engaging. With the right strategies, students gain the tools to break down language barriers and build lifelong reading confidence. Using what they already know, to work out what they don't.

About the Programme

WIKI Build is an innovative literacy intervention designed to help students break down complex words, improve their reading, and enhance their comprehension. At the heart of the programme is the WIKI Bookmark—a powerful tool that teaches students how to break words into prefixes, roots, and suffixes, helping them uncover meaning with ease.

Using structured syllable division techniques, WIKI Build also supports spelling and pronunciation, making reading more accessible for all learners.

  • Do staff need training to deliver WIKI Build?

While WIKI Build is designed to be easy to implement, we offer training and guidance to help teachers get the most out of the programme.

In-person Training Day: For optimal implementation, we recommend that staff delivering the programme attend the in-person training day.
Train-the-Trainer Option: If you're implementing the programme with a large number of staff, a smaller group can attend the in-person training, and then train other staff members within your school using CPD sessions.

Coming Soon: We strongly recommend that staff who have not attended the in-person training follow the online lessons and videos for a comprehensive understanding of the programme.

With this support, your staff will be well-equipped to deliver WIKI Build effectively and help students achieve their literacy goals.
